Introduction

With the introduction of Intel’s new mainboard chipset, Asus were one of the first manufacturers to put out a P2B BX product series along with Intel. The P2B family of motherboards by Asus makes use of new 440BX chipset, which supports AGP and a 100MHz-system bus. This P2B board contains one Slot 1 connector which supports Pentium II S.E.C. cartridge processors, those designed for 66MHz system buses as well as the new processors with the Deschutes core designed for the 100MHz system buses. This was yet another try from Asus to design the ultimate mainboard for the world by adding a few of their own tricks to this package. We shall soon find out if Asus manage to make an engineering breakthrough with the P2B.

Let’s take a look at the specs.
