3Com Palm V: PDA

Manufactured by 3Com
Retail Price $449

By Vajra Chandrasekera
March 10, 1999

Introduction

The various PDAs models in 3Com’s Palm lineup became so PDAs popular because they were extremely useful. Hence, throughout the entire series of Palm PDAs, the emphasis has been largely on functionality. However, with one of the PDAs two newest models, the $449 Palm V, there seems to have been as much attention focused on aesthetics PDAs as functionality. Has the emphasis simply been broadened, or has it PDAs been shifted? The slim, smooth Palm V undoubtedly looks much better than any of its predecessors, but whether it PDAs will outperform them is another matter PDAs entirely.
