1. Hauppauge WinTV dbx FM PCI TV tuner 

This is a two-in-one PCI card, with both a TV tuner and a FM tuner. Picture quality is very good, and Hauppauge have included lots of features to make this a very good choice at $110. The WinTV is also fully Windows 98 compatible for Intercast reception.

While the STB TV PCI also provides very good picture quality and supports Intercast reception, it lacks a FM tuner. However, this is also a great card, and at $95, is a definite bargain.

If you prefer an external TV tuner, AverMedia’s TV Genie is Plug-&-Play with a remote control, delivering very good picture quality. It’s also very easy to install and use, and at $85, is ideal for those who either can’t be bothered messing about with the innards of your PC or else have already run out of PCI slots.
