The PC-DVD Encore 5X includes a third-generation DVD drive from Creative Labs, originally manufactured by Panasonic. It also includes the Dxr2 Decoder card. This is, at $199, the most affordable 
DVD kit on the market. 

Toshiba’s DVD kit includes the Real Magic Hollywood Plus Decoder card, which is found on the majority of DVD kits nowadays. The SD1202 DVD drive by Toshiba is also included in the package, at a total cost of $250. This kit, too, delivers outstanding picture quality.
